When people think of this place, they think of chicken rice but we should also think about the Hainanese pork chop. Crispy without being oily, breaded and cooked perfectly and tender served with a few thick-cut fries and peas, the eatery has managed to maintain the quality and excellent taste over the years. The dish comes with a side of tomato sauce cooked with onions. Service is good and fast. Also the tea with evaporated milk was thick and smooth. A great meal.

Known for its roasted and steamed chicken rice, this place offers reasonable prices. The chicken is incredibly tender and flavorful. You can even get a combination of steamed and roasted chicken on one plate. Service is super fast, and payment is a breeze. However, be prepared to wait in line outside the store, especially during lunchtime. It gets very crowded then. Highly recommended if you're craving delicious chicken rice.

💯 satiated. Forget the boring foodcourt all over shopping malls. This is the real traditional Hainanese chicken rice, claypot curry vegetables, and pork chop dishes. 100% satisfying. Authentic taste and fresh ingredients. This shop has been here for decades and decades serving Singapore’s favourite family dishes. And glad to see them still here and going strong. We love this place, many times over boring food court clinical experience. Truly Singaporean. 🇸🇬

This restaurant has been around for at least 4 decades, albeit a break of a few years when the owner was overseas. It was originally located at Seah Street (non air-conditioned) and then shifted to the current location (air-conditioned).

I have patronized the restaurant for decades and the food standard has been pretty consistent through the years.

They are known for their chicken rice, Hainanese Pork Chop and Furong Fried Eggs, plus many other dishes.

The place is usually busy but the staff are still attentive unless the place is super crowded.

Recommend to make a reservation if the party is big. Service is fast and staff is mostly friendly.

The place only accepts cash payment. Recommended for good traditional local Chinese dishes.

For an eating house that can go on for more than half a century, they must have done everything right. As soon as you walk in, with the friendly greetings from the owner and staff, you know you are in the right place and have confidence that you will have a good meal here.
Chicken rice is very competitive here in Singapore. Chin Chin is another "classic" style. I would consider the chicken rice here as the "standard", i.e. you would measure all other chicken rice against those that get served here. The zi-char (simple cook dishes) here is very good too.
This restaurant is now a weekly event for us with our senior uncles and aunties.
This place does get very busy, but rest assured that you will receive good service and food. Come early to avoid the crowd.
